Google’s tests also verify the authenticity of the Google apps that come pre-installed, as well as the fact the apps from the Play Store can work as intended.

Benefits of Certified Android

The basic benefit of Certified Android on your device is that you get baseline protection against virus and malware. Not only this, Google ensures that your Android smartphone behaves in accordance with Android’s policies. Apart from baseline security and app-behavior optimization, Google Certified Android gives the option of verified pre-installed Google apps on your Android device.
You can find a list of manufacturers who have partnered with Google to get Certified Android here. Also, you can spot a Google Play Protect logo on the box of your smartphone if it is running Certified Android.
Google Play Protect is one of the major benefits of Certified Android devices. It keeps scanning your device in the background for Virus and Malware, blocking out any suspicious apps. Conclusion

While we sometimes take data privacy and security lightly, it is a very serious subject. With an ecosystem of over 2 billion active devices worldwide and growing, Android needs to be safe and secure.
