iBall CompBook Aer3 launched with 13.3-inch display, Windows 10

After their GST ready laptops, starting from Rs. 9,999, iBall has introduced the CompBook Aer3 convertible laptop. As the name suggests, it is a lightweight laptop with rotatable hinges to be used as a tablet as well.
The iBall CompBook Aer3 comes with a 13.3-inch touchscreen display, Quad-core Intel processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and up to 128GB expandable storage. It comes with Windows 10 pre-installed and features a fingerprint sensor.

The iBall CompBook Aer3 is an affordable convertible laptop with features like Fingerprint Sensor and Windows 10 pre-installed. Here are the full specifications of the CompBook Aer3.
Starting with the display, you get a 13.3-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. The display is a multi-touch capacitive touchscreen panel with 360-degree rotatable hinges. You also get a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling.
In terms of hardware, the iBall CompBook Aer3 packs a quad-core Intel Pentium N4200 processor, coupled with Intel HD Graphics 505. It offers 4GB DDR3 RAM along with 64GB Internal Storage and 128GB expansion option via microSD card.
The CompBook Aer3 comes with pre-loaded Windows 10 OS which is a good thing. You can use the Microsoft Store to get many apps that can run on your laptop. You also get a fingerprint sensor which helps you securely login using Windows Hello.
Powered by a 37 Wh Li-Polymer battery 3.5mm earphone jack, Four Speakers, SD card slot, HDMI port, WiFi, and Bluetooth for connectivity options.

With a Fingerprint scanner, pre-installed Windows 10, and touchscreen 360-degree rotatable screen, the iBall CompBook Aer3 is starting at a price of Rs. 29,999.

IDC: Global smartphone shipments to decline by 12% in 2020

The latest predictions from analysts IDC concerns the global smartphone shipments and they sound properly grim. Total shipments for 2020 are expected to reach 1.2 billion units which would be an 11.9% decline compared to 2019. The new estimate is based on the Q1 shipment results which saw the largest decline in smartphone sales in the history of IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker at -14.5%. Looking at the first half of 2020, IDC predicts an 18.2% decline in shipments due to lowered consumer spending. According to IDC’s Sangeetika Srivastava, the main issue now is a lack of demand on behalf of consumers. On a more regional basis, the new report suggests that China will see a single-digit decline in shipments for the current year as COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted and demand is slowly recovering.
